Maintenance becomes manageable when divided by frequency. A visual check before every departure, regular inspections and an end-of-season routine prevent small defects from becoming immobilising problems.

01

Before every departure

Walk around the combination in the same direction each time. Check mounts, coupling where fitted, tyres, lights, hatches, step, windows, roof, external items and number plate. Inside, close storage and secure heavy objects.

Test water, lighting and essential equipment before leaving a place where repairs are easy. An unusual mark, smell or sound deserves investigation before driving.

  • Camper mounts or coupling locked
  • Tyres, lights and openings checked
  • Interior equipment secured and tested
02

During the season

Clean seals and inspect contact points after dust, mud or road salt. Check fasteners according to the manufacturer schedule and watch for uneven tyre wear.

The water system needs regular hygiene using compatible products. Batteries, chargers and connections should remain clean, protected and ventilated as designed.

03

Prepare for storage

Drain and protect the water system for the expected freezing risk. Dry textiles, pop-up fabric and storage completely. Clean without trapping moisture and maintain the designed ventilation.

Follow the recommended battery and tyre procedure. Record completed work and parts to obtain: the next trip will begin with a clear list rather than an urgent search.
